World environment Day is celebrated worldwide on the 5th of June by people aiming to protect the environment. On this day, environmental advocates use various platforms and activities to inspire more people to take action and prevent the planet earths' natural resources from being wasted.
The earth is facing so many challenges and environmental experts estimate that if current population and consumption trends continue, by 2030s we will need the equivalent of two Earths to support humanity. It is however impressive that young people are gaining consciousness about this environmental insecurity and some of them are taking action to contribute to a safer environment for all.
This world environment day 2016, I asked a few young persons what they are doing to make the world environmentally friendly and safer for all (click link below to watch video)and I was delighted to learn that each young person I reached out to, was taking at least one significant action to contribute to a better environment.
What action are you taking to make the world a better place for all? share your thoughts in the box below.
