Liaison (f/m/x) for the networking of partner organisations for women's empowerment, Great Lakes Region

Background

There are long-standing partner relationships with partner organisations in the DR Congo; the portfolio in the DR Congo currently comprises around 30, including Rwanda and Burundi, 45 church organisations and non-governmental organisations that receive personnel and/or financial support. These organisations are active in the areas of community work, trauma and peace work, health, agroecology and food security as well as education. The thematic focus is on women's empowerment, equality and inclusion, while the geographical focus is on the Great Lakes region.

The aim is to introduce the issues of Bread for the World's partner organisations in the Great Lakes region to the political metropolis and the international community, to provide methodological advice to Bread for the World's partner organisations and thus contribute to the empowerment of women and inclusion. The international expert of the dialogue unit acts as a bridge between the partner organisations and the regional department Africa Central and Supraregional of Bread for the World in Berlin and is thus actively involved in the partner dialogue. The above-mentioned portfolio has exemplary partner organisations and links for the successful establishment of a dialogue centre, e.g. the Centre d'Excellence Denis Mukwege and Centre d'Education et de Réadaption à Base Communautaire.

The dialogue centre is based in Kinshasa. An international professional is being sought as soon as possible to build up the network, provide methodological advice to the partner organisations and carry out lobbying work.
