The Centro de Estudios para el Desarrollo y la Participación (CEDEP) is a pioneering actor in the promotion of rural development and supports those most in need. Founded in 1977, the non-governmental organisation is committed to strengthening the sustainable decentralised management of water resources, smallholder agriculture and the institutional sustainability of smallholder organisations. CEDEP plans to develop strategically as an organisation. CEDEP wants to generate project funds through local fundraising, tap into new sources of funding and make its work more visible in this context.

Job Scope
As an international professional and fundraiser with experience in storytelling, you will support CEDEP in strengthening its financial base and establishing a sustainable institutional structure.
In particular, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Supporting CEDEP in setting up a professional fundraising programme
- Advising on the development of a fundraising plan, in close cooperation with the team and management
- Supporting the expansion and further development of institutional fundraising
- Advice on approaching new target groups, such as private donors and companies
- Advice on setting up targeted online communication and support with donor retention measures
- Organising and conducting training for employees in the areas of fundraising tools and communication
- You will work closely with CEDEP's management and coordination team and report directly to the management.
Profile
- A task-related university degree, e.g. in business administration/marketing, social or political science, journalism, communication science, with relevant further training
- At least 2 years of professional experience in fundraising and communication, including practical experience in storytelling, preferably in a Latin American context
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English
- Experience in passing on knowledge and information in a target group-orientated way, e.g. in the form of attractively designed workshops
- Enthusiasm for creative teamwork and intercultural sensitivity to accompany change processes
- Willingness to travel within PeruCitizenship of a Member State of the European Union or Switzerland is required.
