Background

Founded 20 years ago, the Bolivian foundation AGRECOL Andes (Agroecology in the Andes) strives for a fairer and more ecological society that ensures food security and protects natural resources on the basis of sustainable agroecological production systems. AGRECOL Andes wants to develop a practice-oriented agroecological strategy in its project area in a participatory manner and together with various stakeholders, which integrates best practices and is intended to inspire imitation. As an international expert, you will work together with AGRECOL Andes' communications department to support this process and raise the profile of the foundation's work and concerns among the public and national and international donors.  
The organisation is based in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Job Scope

In particular, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Analysing AGRECOL's current communication strategy
  • Support and monitoring of a participatory process to update the communication strategy
  • Participation in agroecological network meetings and institutional planning meetings
  • Support in the planning and implementation of training workshops on the design and multimedia dissemination of communication products on agroecological topics
  • Advice on the creation of media products and information
  • Training and advice on analysing and using data for PME / impact monitoring
     

Profile

  • You have successfully completed a degree (at least a Bachelor's degree) in corporate communications, communications for non-profit organisations, public relations or a comparable field of study
  • You have several years of practical work experience in communication and public relations, including the design of various communication products for different media (social media, print, audiovisual media), preferably in a Latin American context
  • You have practical experience in PME/impact monitoring
  • You have in-depth knowledge of agroecological topics
  • You can draw on a diverse repertoire of participatory methods and have practical experience in organising workshops
  • You are a talented communicator with business fluent Spanish and English skills
  • You have a high level of intercultural sensitivity and experience and are able to react flexibly and solution-orientated to unexpected challenges
  • You are willing to undertake business trips within Bolivia

Please note that citizenship of a member state of the European Union or Switzerland is a formal requirement.
