Strategist / Coordinator (f/m/x) for the optimisation of resources in an environmental organisation in Kyrgyzstan

Background

Our renowned partner organisation, which has an excellent reputation both regionally and internationally, is a non-profit organisation that has set itself the goal of increasing active environmental awareness. This is achieved through public campaigns, environmental education and lobbying and advocacy work. The organisation focuses on climate protection, climate adaptation measures, the promotion of renewable energies, urban environmental protection, the generation of data on air quality and public access to statistical environmental data. With an established network of environmental non-governmental organisations across Kyrgyzstan and as an active member of the Climate Action Network for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, our partner organisation provides an inspiring environment for development professionals. In cooperation with the education sector, non-governmental organisations, municipalities, media representatives and government decision-makers (e.g. in national institutes and ministries), the focus is on environmental and climate protection - a lively dynamic in which innovative paths for a promising future are designed together with young people.

You will be involved in ecological programmes, impact-oriented planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as diversification of project funds.

The movegreen office is located in Bishkek, an exciting metropolis to build strategic collaborations and partnerships for resource mobilisation.

Job Scope

You will make a valuable contribution to movegreen achieving its funding goals, for example by supporting colleagues in the development and implementation of an effective fundraising strategy.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Designing a fundraising strategy for sustainable sources of funding
  • Advice on identifying and approaching potential donor organisations
  • Conception and implementation of training courses in third-party funding
  • Technical advice on project application, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
  • Participation in knowledge management to effectively capture and share findings
  • Building and maintaining partnerships to increase the visibility of the organisation

Qualification Profile

  • A relevant degree (at least a Bachelor's degree)
  • Work experience in development project management
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Strong analytical and systemic thinking skills
  • Enjoy promoting colleagues and building collaborations
  • Openness and motivation for social integration into the culture of Kyrgyzstan 

Please note that citizenship of a member state of the European Union or Switzerland is a formal requirement. In accordance with the requirements of the reintegration programme, applications from Kyrgyz professionals from Germany may be considered.
